January 2008 Jambalaya is a three-day, four-night weekend of workshops, performances and parties Easter weekend, in Rotorua, New Zealand. They assembled some of the best teachers and performers from NZ and around the world to give you a taste of some of the most exciting musical and dance styles. Jambalaya's many surprises: Over 140 dance and music workshops in Cuban, Brazilian, Pacific and other styles, including free community and kids' workshops! Theatre shows - for the first time they showcased the talents of amazing teachers and performers in a range of shows in the Rotorua Convention Centre Theatre Massive nightly dance parties at the Rotorua Sportsdrome featuring local and international bands, performances and DJs.
