Fundraiser For Stayz's kids......to LA
when you do any workshops with Stanley this Sunday at Danza Latina this weekend, you will be helping Stayz and his kids! All profits from this event will go to Stayz and his kids to get to LA....

From Danza Latina and members of Christchurch, a big shout out and thanks, to all that helped in for the Wanganui Latin X, also to Stayz & Larrisa (newly engaged), muma's, friends and salsa people or Wanganui and around NZ!...

We are all recovering from, and have withdrawls of a fantastic weekend of performances, workshops, parties and cold showers....... this awesome event has truley moved and affected so many people around the NZ salsa community, not just the kids!

Stanley Sunday Salsa Workshops ...NEW

Stanely & Gino from Auckland are teaching workshops in Christchurch over the weekend with Salsa Fusion and Danza Latina, Stanley will be doing 2 salsa workshop for the public at Danza Latina Studio on Sunday in Room 107 at the Music Centre. If you would like to meet these guys they should be at the loaded hog this Thursday.

Beginner/Intermediate Class on I
This class covers the basic elements & fundamentals of LA Salsa, including: basic steps, rhythm, body movement, following and leading and turns. Cross body leads variations will be taught in this class as well as some popular LA style moves.

1:30pm - 2:30pm
SALSA (Stanley)
Intermediate Class on I
LA Salsa style. A combination of moves will be taught in this class you will also learn how to execute double spins and salsa shines.

Stanley From Taiwan and started dancing in 2000 both Latin Ballroom and Salsa. In 2002, Stanley won the first place at the New Zealand Salsa Competition, and in 2004 he came second in the professional section. Stanley has attended International Salsa workshops from well-known instructors during his world trip. He has taught Salsa at various studios and universities around Auckland among other Salsa instructors such as: Paul, Gino and Regina. Stanley also dances, Samba, Cha-cha, Merengue and Axe. Stanley loves the LA style as well as the Cuban and you will be able to see this fusion when you see him dancing.

Gino A native-born Peruvian who lives in Australia and New Zealand. He is an energetic and determined individual inspired by rhythms and beats since a very young age. His passion for dance has evolved to include dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Lambada, Axe, Samba, Cha cha, Cumbia, Bachata, South American Folklore dances, Jazz and Hip Hop. He has choreographed numerous high profile performances and trained many dancers into award winning categories. He has won national Salsa competitions in New Zealand in 2000 and in Australia in 2001 He has gained dancing insights around the world and attended many work shops taught by international dancers in North & South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. He has taught Salsa at various dance studios & universities in New Zealand and dance studios abroad.
