1. NEW FESTIVAL PASSES & WORKSHOP SYSTEM
We have changed the way the Festival Passes work:
No need to book workshops! You can just buy a pass, show up and go to as many workshops as you like at your level.
• The Jambalaya Festival Pass:
Wander from afternoon shows, into a world class Cuban dance workshop, out for a band on the veranda, drop into a talk on Samba music in Brazil. When you have a Jambalaya festival wrist band on its all at your fingertips.
Pass Includes:
Includes entry to ALL open level workshops. (Over 45 to choose from.) ALL theatre shows, ALL parties, ALL performances.
Price: $145 (Early bird)
Or $165 after 31st Jan (Student/groups $145)
 
• The Jambalaya Festival PLUS Pass: (Choose your level & style)
This pass is for intermediate and advanced students of Latin music and dance. On top of the full festival pass, this pass gives you access to all of the workshops that are at your level and style.
The workshop timetable has been designed to maximise your opportunity to learn from the teachers at Jambalaya.

Quenia Ribeiro– Performer and dance teacher (New York/Brazil); Cabello – Percussionist (New York/Brazil); Ricardo Rosinha– Percussionist/Musician (Brazil); Adriano Trindade– Percussionist/Musician (Brazil).

Son Veneno - 10 piece band of Sydney’s finest Latin musicians mixes Afro Cuban rhythms with HipHop and Funk. They are a fantastic live show and will be giving awesome workshop as well.

Welcome back Professor Hipswigel! Bring your friends - Monty Python meets Cuba, Brazil, Africa and Polynesia! There's only one show like this on the PLANET and its in Rotorua!
Batucada Sound Machine on Sunday Night
BSM are back again – and will be flying in direct for the Sunday night party – after playing the massive Byron Bay Blues and Roots Fest. Along with Son Veneno, this is guaranteed to be a huge night.

3. SALSA SELECTIONS UPDATES!
IMPORTANT - We have changed the division for the NZ selections for the World Salsa Champs. We are now running the selections for the CABARET division ONLY. Not the ON1 division.
Note: A definition for Cabaret can be found on www.worldsalsachampionships.com
We will be contacting the organisers to clarify information required and we will be posting this on our website.  
Teams
We are also running team selections – winners get will be invited to perform at the Sydney Salsa Congress. More info online soon!
 
SSC and WSC selection winners will perform in both sessions of the Salsa Showcase alongside our international guests on Saturday night.
