Samba Funk Workshops in January
Short beginners Course
Mondays, January 2006 (start date to be confirmed)

I'an will be teaching this short series of workshop in Hot Brazilian samba & Axé for beginners, great for the ladies and guys body movement. Samba can have great benefits for your fitness and other latin type dances too...

Learn Latino dance movements like; Latin funk (J Lo style), basic Samba step, Axé, improving your style and hip movement which will give you a great introduction to Samba & Axé.

What is Axé?
A contemporary Afro-Bahian latin pop style, incorporating samba, jazz, rock, soul and other musical influences.

Reminder........
This is the last week of classes for 2005!

Classes at Danza Latina will stop during the Christmas break from 16th December, 2005 through to the 6th February as all teachers will also be away having a break for Christmas and will also be at the Sydney salsa congress.

Remember you can get your salsa fix over the Christmas holidays at the Mexican Cafe every Thursday & Friday and the Huge New Years Eve Party with the Ritmo Latino band. Keep an eye on the latin events page!
 
Keep an eye on the newsletters as there will be one off workshops during January, Samba is confirmed and there maybe others such as; Merengue, Salsa, Shines, Musicality and intros for new beginners. Private lessons / One on ones will be available also.

The Mex provide Latin Nights to dance! Totally Fun filled and hot,
DJ Doogle will be playing the most popular salsa tracks so
come drink and dance the night away to salsa, cha, merengue & samba music. 

It's a great opportunity to get on the dance floor and practice what you have learnt.

Friday............

Danza Latina Christmas Party Friday
Friday 16th December

Danza Latina will be having a Christmas break up party on the 16th December at the Honey Pot café upstairs (Pizza Bar)

Feel free to invite a friend or two, starts at 7:30pm this Friday. This will be buffet style and should cost around $5 each!

50 people is now the maximum so please email cameron@danzalatina.co.nz to book, there is still room for a few more!

There will be some latin / salsa music and room for some dancing so if you're not in for a meal, join in with us anyway and have a drink and a dance or have a game of pool!
Around 11pm we will head next door to the Mexican Cafe to finish the night off with some more dancing!

Saturday the 17th December

Join Hot Tempo for their annual Christmas party to be held at the Cashmere Club on Colombo Street.

Party starts at 8pm and finishes late.

$10 door charge.

Performances during the night.
