Musicality Via Percussion - Salsa Cha Bachata

Date & Time: This Saturday - 20th December 1:30pm (1hr)
This is part 2 of Musicality covering different styles of latin music. If you missed the first one you can turn up as it covers new subjects as listed below.
This workshop covers: • Salsa percussion and musicality (focusing on Cha Cha and On2/Mambo): • Basics of latin timing - the basic-beat across various types of music (different styles of salsa, cha, merengue, bachata, etc) • A breakdown of cha cha - the music and the dance • A breakdown of on-2 dancing/mambo - the music and the dance • Musicality will be discussed throughout the hour with examples where relevant.
Many of the best international salsa social dancers, performers, choreographers and teachers have a musical background, in particular, percussion.

Join 'Carl' a previous Salsa dance instructor as he shares what he has learnt in the last few years about Latin percussion, and how it relates to dancing better, more musical, and more fun salsa. Become a better dancer by learning what salsa music really is, and dance with the music.
