Learn all the basics of Merengue and new combo each week along with the salsa basic step.

Anyone from absolute beginner to more advanced can join in. Register online & come any week you want, it a drop-in class and you can do as many as you like.
This is based on the concept of the latin dance classes we taught a the Christchurch Casino recently, which may start back sometime in the near future.
This Merengue & Salsa intro class is a great thing to do before joining a Salsa 8 week Course or as well as a Salsa course to compliment learning.

It's another fun Latin Dance that originates from Brazil with french influence, it's a relative of Lambada and is sometimes called Zouk Lambada.

The Hog Salsa Nights - Every Thursday

Every Thursday Night 9:30pm - Late (1am)

Totally Fun filled and hot. Drink and dance the night away. Every Thursday night at the (Mac's) AKA Loaded Hog. Come down and have a look, a drink and have a dance! Anyone can come, this night is for everybody at all levels.

Music & DJ - Top DJ (Reuben Danza Latina) playing the very best and newest Latin Music including - Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Cha, Zouk & Bachata.

The famous Hot Springs Salsa yearly winter party, with latin dance workshops in the afternoon. "Road Trip to Hanmer Springs - Its hot both inside the pool and hotter the Salsa hall"

Salseros from all around the south Island from Christchurch, Dunedin, Westcoast, Blenheim and Nelson and even a few from the North Island 'World Salsa Tours' & Australia will combine this year and spend an awesome weekend in Hanmer to move to the rythms of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Cha cha cha at the Hanmer Memorial Hall. So bring the kids and enjoy the treasures that Hanmer has to offer. This is a beautiful alpine village ...enjoy the hotpools.. It's also the first weekend of the school holidays, kids are welcome at the party, infact school kids are free entry.

When should I go to Hamner? Most people will travel up and spend 2 nights in Hamner, leaving Friday after work and staying the Friday & Saturday Night. Accommodation between a group is often very cheap, the average house to hire can work out as little as $20 per person per night. However some will travel up on the Saturday morning to make the workshops, while others will just travel to make the party and leave the same night without staying. We prefer to stay 2 nights so we can relax in the hot pools... you choose!

It contains counts so you can get used to stepping in time with salsa and give you not only music to practice to, but knowledge of how salsa music is constructed, so you can become a better dancer.
