New Levels for Monday Beginners & Improver Salsa Classes NEXT week:
You will progress to the next level. Your current concession card can be used in any salsa class on Monday, Tuesday or Bachata. You can always repeat or do 2 levels at once if you feel that you're not up to speed. Also-Remember practice, private lessons, practice, social dancing & practice all help.

Free Dance Intro Classes - 8:30pm (Diamond Bar only) 30mins Free Dance class for all levels, learn and try out different dance styles, Merengue, Salsa, Zouk, Bachata. No need to register, just turn up and join in.

Social Night from 9:00pm - Totally Fun filled & Hot. Drink and dance the night away. Every Thursday night . Come down and have a look, a drink and have a dance! It's the most popular Salsa Night of the week. Anyone can come, this night is for everybody at all levels, dancers and non-dancers.

FREE Entry all night & everyone is welcome at any time.

Music & DJ - Top DJ (Reuben - Salsa Latina) playing the very best and newest Latin Music for all dance levels - including; Salsa, Mambo, Merengue, Cha, Zouk & Bachata.

History - This has been Running as a Salsa Night contiiniously on Thursdays since the days of 'Street Latin Dance Studio' starting back in 1999. Now in October 2009 the bar has closed and we will keep Salsa nights running at the Casino from December 2009.

Dancers Feedback: Great atmosphere. Great Venue with medium sized dance floor and two great surfacse to dance on, marble or wood. Volume of music tended to nice and loud. DJ Music great, with up-to-date Salsa, Zouk & Bachata music. Largest numbers of Salsa dancers in Christchurch regularly attend this night. Note: this feedback will be updated.

Salsa Class (Linear salsa On1) Salsa Fundamentals. This is the most important level you will ever learn, its the foundation to linear salsa. It's worth repeating this level no matter what level you are, Improver, Intermediate or Advanced you can still improve your foundation. It's highly recommended you have completed 8 weeks of beginners class before joining this level. Remember if you find our intermediate a struggle, do this level as well as intermediate to help. You will pick up more details second or third time round, no matter what level you are.

Salsa Class (Linear salsa On1) You will learn - More Fundamentals and beyond. Also learn variations, combos, turn patterns, dips, techniques & styling. Duration: Join any time after the Improvers course and then complete a total of 1 year in Intermediate. Each of the Sections (A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,I,J,K,L) all 4 week courses. You can join on week#1 on any of these sections as you finish Improver levels. Once you have completed all of the sections in' any' order you may be able to progress to the Upper Intermediate level on Monday at 8:30pm

Bachata Moderna (NEW) 4 Week open level Course Info: If you haven't tried Bachata before, join this open level 4 week course, its for everyone including absolute beginners. Learn Bachata basics, style & technique, plus some new moderna Bachata that has just been included in this syllabus. What is Bachata? It's another fun Latin Dance that originates from the Dominican Republic find out more here>

Bachata Moderna & Traditional Intemediate Class: Continuous class to join anytime - Intermediate (all levels - Imp Int & Advanced). Once you have completed the bachata open level course, or have done beginners Bachata. You may join this open level Intermediate Bachata Class. You can join at any point as there is no start date, these are new bachata combos each week. NOTE: Bachata Moderna is "Tango" influenced Bachata.

Fundraiser Salsa Night from 9pm with performances during the night. Social Salsa dancing all night. DJ SLS (Reuben - Salsa Latina) will be pumping out the very best & latest of Salsa, Bachata, Merengue Zouk, Cha music all night long for your dancing pleasure in Studio 1. ~ BYO ~
* NEW Studio 3 wont be up and running (very close) with a brand new floor this time around. But will be for the next party in December with Dual DJ'd music running at the same time, Zouk, Reggaeton & Cuban Salsa.
Salsa Latina is raising funds for their Pro-team Salsa Sabrosa. Salsa Sabrosa was recently chosen at the New Zealand Salsa Congress to Represent New Zealand at the International Salsa Congress in Sydney 2010. See Video from NZ Congress>

Zouk Course open level course Information If you haven't tried Zouk before, or if you have done our previous Zouk courses you will learn something new. This is an open level course, it's for everyone including absolute beginners. Learn Zouk basics, style and technique. We will also be including Neo Zouk influences.
What is Zouk? It's another fun Latin Dance that originates from Brazil with french influence, it's a relative of Lambada and is sometimes called Zouk Lambada.

New Timing Salsa CD or Mp3 Set (2009) contains essential timing, rhythms & music for salsa dancers. it's for beginners to advanced levels. It contains counts so you can get used to stepping in time with salsa and give you not only music to practice to, but knowledge of how salsa music is constructed, so you can become a better dancer. Salsa Latina uses tracks in its classes, it will train your brain to stay in time. There is a total of 13 tracks and tempos ranging from slow to med paced songs and now includes a bonus cha cha percussion track.
