This is part 2 of Musicality covering different styles of latin music. If you missed the first one you can turn up as it covers new subjects as listed below.
This workshop covers:
• Salsa percussion and musicality (focusing on Cha Cha and On2/Mambo):
• Basics of latin timing - the basic-beat across various types of music (different styles of salsa, cha, merengue, bachata, etc)
• A breakdown of cha cha - the music and the dance
• A breakdown of on-2 dancing/mambo - the music and the dance
• Musicality will be discussed throughout the hour with examples where relevant.
Many of the best international salsa social dancers, performers, choreographers and teachers have a musical background, in particular, percussion.
